UX: Selecting emoji by arrow keys UP or DOWN

Describe the bug

When you start typing a semi-colon + word and the emoji gallery shows up, you start pressing arrow key UP or DOWN, you cannot see the first selection from the list. You can only see what is selected after the next press.

Example when pressing DOWN:

Reproduction

1. Type a semi-colon (:) followed a word or letters
2. Press UP or DOWN or the keyboard
3. Press again and again to see the actual selected emoji
4. Press enter to confirm

Expected behavior

1. Type a semi-colon (:) followed a word or letters
2. Press UP or DOWN or the keyboard
3. You can clearly see the first selected emoji without having to jump around.
4. Press enter to confirm
