Changes

NPSP now provides support for simple grant management, courtesy of the public contribution from Sam Knox. New fields have been added to Opportunity to track grant related information, and a new custom object, Grant Deadline, can be used to track all of your deliverables both while applying for a grant, and for afterward managing the grant if you win it. Check out the NPSP documentation for full details, including the steps you must take to enable this new feature in your organization.

  • The new Opportunity field, Primary Contact, must be enabled in field-level security for all appropriate profiles and added to the appropriate Opportunity page layouts to be used.
  • A batch job under NPSP Settings > Donations > Contact Roles should be run to populate the field for your existing Opportunities.
  • Manual changes to Opportunity Contact Roles will not be reflected in the new field. The batch job can be run again to reconcile these.
