[Question] Comparison to other ports and MODs

Hi,
I'm curious how this port compares to Serious Sam Evolution [Source] and Serious Sam Classic/Serious Sam Classic: Vulkan feature wise.

And if there are some missing features or improvements compared to those projects, will you add those bits to your project in the future?

I am unsure about the latter two source ports but it seems like they are just supposed to be compatible with as many platforms as possible (Windows, Linux, x86, ARM etc.) + implementing Vulkan rendering via a separate source port. The only real difference for the end user that I can notice is an extended support for widescreen resolutions.

As for Evolution, it's a very half-baked, unfinished and untested project, which implements a lot of features on the backend but none of them are really usable by the user without working with the engine code directly because of the aforementioned unfinished nature of it. I wouldn't recommend using it for anything at all as it has been completely abandoned by the main developer.

My patch highly outranks both projects combined in terms of QoL features and it makes the original game builds from 2001-2002 still compatible with all the content released for these games, which cannot be said for the source ports because my patch is applied on top of the old games, while the other projects are installed independently from them. They don't support complex mods and playing on the servers meant for the old games.
