The "Failed to connect after 0 ms" error means nothing is listening on port 14000 yet. This happens when the GFK QUIC tunnel hasn't been established to your server — the TCP listener on port 14000 only starts after the QUIC connection succeeds.

The status shows "Running" because the GFK process (mainclient.py) is alive, but it's stuck retrying the QUIC connection to the server.

To diagnose, check the GFK log:

sudo tail -100 /var/log/gfk-backend.log

Common causes:

1. Server not running — on your VPS, run sudo paqctl status to confirm GFK server is active
2. Wrong auth code — make sure the auth code on the client matches the server (sudo paqctl info on server to check)
3. Firewall blocking VIO port — make sure port 45000/TCP is open on the server's VPS firewall (cloud provider firewall, not just iptables)
4. Server IP wrong — verify parameters.py has the correct VPS IP

Once the QUIC tunnel connects, port 14000 will start accepting connections and the SOCKS5 proxy will work.

Please share the output of sudo tail -100 /var/log/gfk-backend.log so we can pinpoint the exact issue.
