Welcome to the official wiki for TechBites TweakHub! This guide explains all the features and tweaks available in the app, designed to help you optimize, customize, and maintain your Windows experience.
TechBites TweakHub is a powerful, all-in-one utility designed to give you full control over your Windows operating system. Whether you want to boost gaming performance, enhance privacy by disabling telemetry, or remove pre-installed bloatware, TweakHub provides a safe and intuitive interface to make these changes easily.
Before applying any system tweaks, we strongly recommend creating a System Restore Point.
- Navigate to the Restore Point section in the left sidebar of the app.
- Click Create Restore Point. This ensures that if a tweak behaves unexpectedly or causes an issue with your specific hardware, you can easily revert your system back to its stable state.
The Dashboard gives you a quick system overview and access to rapid actions. It monitors your PC's general health, shows system specs, and provides one-click quick boosts.
- Performance: Tweaks related to gaming, Windows search, visual effects, and accessibility to make your PC feel faster and more responsive.
- Optimization: Deep system-level tweaks for kernel tuning, CPU/GPU prioritization, and memory management. Ideal for power users and gamers.
- Power: Adjust power plans, sleep behavior, and hardware power states for better battery life on laptops or maximum performance on desktops.
- MSI Utility: Enable Message Signaled Interrupts (MSI) mode and tune interrupt priority for supported devices. This can significantly reduce system latency and micro-stutters for gamers.
- Privacy & Security: Take back control of your personal data. Disable Windows telemetry, block advertising IDs, disable unwanted AI integrations, manage browser policies, and configure User Account Control (UAC) strictness.
- Customize: Change the appearance and behavior of Windows. Modify the taskbar, Start menu, File Explorer, and general shell behavior to suit your personal workflow.
- Sound: Tweak audio enhancements, communication ducking, and system sound behavior.
- Notifications: Manage focus assist, app badges, and toast notification behavior to reduce daily distractions.
- Debloat: Safely remove bundled Windows apps (bloatware) that you never use and manage optional Windows features to lighten your OS footprint.
- Software: Install recommended applications, update existing ones, or completely and cleanly remove unwanted software from your PC.
- Startups: Manage applications and background tasks that launch automatically with Windows. Disabling unnecessary startups is the best way to improve your boot times.
- Windows Updates: Take control over how and when Windows updates are delivered. Manage restart policies, driver updates, and Microsoft Store update behavior to prevent unwanted interruptions.
- Disk Cleanup: Scan and wipe junk files, system caches, temporary files, and crash dumps to free up valuable space on your storage drives.
- Settings: Configure the TweakHub app itself, including dark/light themes and safety preferences.
Each tweak inside TweakHub is designed to be transparent and easy to understand. When browsing tweaks, you will see:
- Title & Description: Explains exactly what the tweak does in plain English.
- Risk Level: Helps you understand the potential impact of the change (e.g., Low, Medium, High).
- Status Indicators: Shows whether a tweak is currently applied or not.
- Action/Toggle: Easily apply or revert the tweak with a single click. Some tweaks offer dropdown menus for multiple choices (like UAC levels).
Pro Tip: If you're unsure about a tweak, it's best to leave it at its default setting. Always remember to use the Restore Point feature before experimenting!
