Welcome to Project Kestrel v(Junco-2026.02.24)!

New Features:

• Enhanced Folder Queuing: Kestrel will scan your folders and show you which ones have not yet been fully analyzed.
• Report a Bug or Provide Feedback: You can click on the "Feedback" button to report a bug or provide feedback. Please send as much feedback as you'd like!
• Optional Analytics Data: Opt-in to send some basic usage data, such as the size of your files and time it took to analyze. Kestrel does not collect file names, photos, or any personally identifiable information.
• Automatic Version Checking: Kestrel will let you know if there is a new version available on startup.
• User interface tweaks and bug fixes.

Known Issues:

• Some bugs with the folder loading page may be present, particularly when folders are still undergoing analysis.

Coming Soon:

• Video tutorial will be released on projectkestrel.org
• Culling features are under consideration (to assist in cleaning disk space)
• XMP metadata export features are under consideration.
