Description
Hi there,
I'm experiencing an issue where HeadsetControl no longer detects my Arctis Nova 7X (Gen 2/V2) after a recent firmware update via SteelSeries GG. Before the update, everything worked fine, but now the output shows "device_count": 0 with no devices listed. This also breaks dependent tools like aarol/headset-battery-indicator.
Headset Model: Arctis Nova 7X (Gen 2/V2, part of the Nova 7 family)
Firmware Versions:
- GG Version: 105.0.0
- Transmitter-Version: 2.31
- Headset-Version: 2.31
- Bluetooth-Version: 2.29
- MCU-Version: 1.82
Hardware IDs:
- USB\VID_1038&PID_22AD&REV_0231&MI_00
- USB\VID_1038&PID_22AD&MI_00
Suspected Cause: The firmware update seems to have changed the HID Product ID to 22AD, which isn't supported yet.
Tested on: Windows 10
Full JSON Output from HeadsetControl:
{
"name": "HeadsetControl",
"version": "3.1.0-modified",
"api_version": "1.3",
"hidapi_version": "0.14.0",
"device_count": 0,
"devices": [
]
}
I'd be happy to provide more logs, test builds, or any other info to help fix this. Thanks for the great tool!
