Forage Virtual Experience Programme — Completed March 2026
This repository contains my completed work for the Tata Group Data Visualisation job simulation hosted on Forage. The programme simulates a real-world data analyst role at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), where I analysed an online retail dataset and created data visualisations to support executive decision-making.
Reviewed the dataset and drafted key questions that the CEO and CMO would want answered before a strategic meeting. This involved thinking from a business leadership perspective — identifying revenue trends, customer behaviour patterns, and regional performance gaps.
Selected the most appropriate chart types for each business question, justifying why certain visuals (e.g. line charts for trends, maps for geographic demand) communicate insights more effectively than others.
Built interactive dashboards in Power BI using the Online Retail dataset. Visuals include:
- Monthly revenue trends (2010–2011)
- Top 10 countries by revenue (excluding UK)
- Top 10 customers by revenue
- Product demand by country (geographic map, excluding UK)
Prepared a structured presentation of findings for the CEO and CMO, highlighting actionable insights such as seasonal revenue peaks, high-value customer segments, and international expansion opportunities.

- Revenue peaks in November, suggesting strong seasonal demand — ideal for inventory and marketing planning.
- Netherlands, Ireland, Germany, and France are the top international markets by revenue, outside the UK.
- A small group of high-value customers contributes disproportionately to total revenue — a key retention target.
- Europe dominates international demand, with limited presence in Asia and the Americas, presenting expansion opportunities.
