What's new

  • Forget an iPhone from Settings. Removing a phone now also unpairs it from this Mac, so you don't need System Settings to clean up an old pairing.
  • Small fixes in iPhone setup.

Cover more iPhones

  • At the iPhone limit, you can now add iPhones to your license instead of removing one. Lifetime upgrades to 5 iPhones for $99, once. Monthly adds an iPhone for $29 a month. Your license key stays the same.
  • The same option is in Settings › License.
  • The iPhone-limit screen is cleaner, with links to use another license key or contact support.

What's new

  • Settings › Support: send a report (with screenshots or files) straight from the app, plus a Documentation link. Also in the Help menu.
  • More reliable unlock: Zeptap brings up the passcode pad with a keystroke instead of a swipe, so it works when the lock screen ignores the pointer.
  • Fix: Zeptap no longer switches to another iPhone while the one it just locked is reconnecting.

@Saransh29 Saransh29 released this 01 Oct 15:45

What's new

  • Work on several iPhones from one chat: the agent can hand tasks to other paired iPhones and keep track of them. The header shows each iPhone and what its agent is doing; click one to open its chat.
  • The agent can ask you: when it needs a decision, it asks with options to click (or press 1–4), or you can type your own answer.
  • Queue follow-ups: write while the agent is working and your message goes out when it finishes. Use Send Now to send it right away, or Edit to change it.
  • Previous messages: press ↑ in an empty message box to bring back what you sent before.
  • Live status: the chat shows the step the agent is on and how long it's been working.

Fixes

  • The chat keeps scrolling to the newest message unless you scroll up.
  • A chat that's working keeps controlling its own iPhone when you switch to a different one.

@Saransh29 Saransh29 released this 30 Sep 11:18

What's new

  • Every iPhone stays connected: each paired iPhone on USB now keeps its own Bluetooth link, so switching between phones is instant and nothing disconnects.
  • Agents on several iPhones at once: agents working on different phones now run side by side instead of taking turns.
  • See what the agent is thinking: the chat shows the model's reasoning while it works, then folds it to "Thought for 12s". Click to reopen it.
  • Open screenshots full size: click a screenshot in the chat to view it in Quick Look, and step through the rest with the arrow keys.
  • Update button: when a new version is out, an Update button appears in the toolbar. Zeptap now checks every hour.
  • More iPhones look right: frames for the iPhone 5s through XS Max, iPhone 17e, and iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max.

Fixes

  • The screen comes back on its own when an unlocked iPhone stops sending a picture.
  • Mute, brightness, screenshots and recordings are now kept per iPhone.
  • Plugging in a second iPhone no longer takes control away from the one you're using.
  • A chat left idle for 30 minutes stays in history and a new one starts.

@Saransh29 Saransh29 released this 29 Sep 22:24

What's new

  • All your iPhones live at once: every iPhone plugged in over USB now streams its screen at the same time. The phones you aren't controlling stay live on the canvas, and switching between them is instant.
  • Lock, unlock and reconnect the right phone: these now always act on the iPhone you're controlling when several are plugged in.
  • Tell us when pairing gets stuck: the pairing help menu has a new "Still stuck? Tell us what's happening…" option. You write the message, see everything that gets sent, and can add an email if you'd like a reply.

@Saransh29 Saransh29 released this 29 Sep 21:33

What's new

  • OpenRouter in the chat: add your OpenRouter API key in Settings › Agents to chat with your iPhone using any model, pay per use. The key stays in this Mac's keychain.
  • Pick your agent during setup: onboarding finds Claude Code, Codex and a saved OpenRouter key, lets you sign in, and sets the chat's default agent. You can also connect Zeptap to Claude, Cursor, Codex and more over MCP from there.
  • Chats per iPhone: each iPhone keeps its own chat history, grouped by day. The chat shows which iPhone it drives and offers to switch back if another one is on screen. MCP agents can list connected phones and target one by id.
  • iPhones per license: a license covers up to 3 iPhones across your Macs. Settings › License lists them, and you can remove one to free its slot (3 removals per 30 days).
  • Any iPhone model: models without built-in artwork now get a drawn frame, including home-button iPhones (SE, 8 and earlier).
  • Anonymous usage stats and crash reports: these help fix bugs. They never include your screen or what you type. You can turn them off in Settings › Preferences.

What's new

  • Zeptap licenses: you get a free hour of use. After that, buy a Monthly or Lifetime license on zeptap.com and activate it with one click, or paste the key in Settings › License. One key works on up to 3 Macs.
  • Activity moved to Settings: agent tool calls now appear under Settings › Connectors › Activity, newest first.
  • AssistiveTouch button hides itself: when the phone is idle, Zeptap turns off "Always Show Menu" so the floating button no longer covers the screen or shows up in screenshots and recordings.
