I'm lost, 10023 & Kindle 1.0.16118

1. Installed K4PC 1016118 from MS store. Where is the .exe located so I can create a desktop shortcut?! All I can find is 282,
2. 5 books downloaded to K4PC but only 1 shows in My Kindle Content, I can open all of them. The only one showing is one that I have been unable to liberate (14 missing magic bytes, invalid format).
3. I changed the command line from kfxarchiver283 to MSIXKFXArchiver1_16118 but I still got "14 missing magic bytes, invalid format". Nothing in Users/me/kfxoutput
4. Clearly, I'm old and incompetent. Is there a link for detailed instructions. I'm using epubor's instructions right now.

Try running MSIXKFXArchiver1_16118.exe without any arguments? Your exe is... C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\AMZnxxxxxwhatever somewhere, it might be hard to access (needs admin). Your books would be in c:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Packages\AMZNKindle.AmazonKindleReadingApp_xxxxx\LocalState\Classic\Content\ somewhere, not your documents folder anymore. As for the mobi book (I hope it is mobi?) I am trying to vibe-port MOBI parser from python into tool for convenience, but expect that part to work with reliability associated with vibe-code, so, well, sometimes. I hope that book is not Topaz.

Will try. I honestly don't know what Kindle format the rogue book is. It was published 2024, but shows as azw in folders and when added (can't open) to Calibre. Will be back with results later.

Note: "I am trying" means it is not out yet... You can tell by peeking at the start of the book file, mobi would have "MOBIBOOK" somewhere near (but not at) the start. (I use total commander view function).

Followed yr instructions, made my shortcut. Thank you! (those SOBs had to make it hard, right?).
Found the content (unnecessary, but nice to know).
Ran MSIX by simply double-clicking it. All 5 books found as kfx-zip in archived_kfx in the unzipped tools folder. Stubborn book just shows as all the rest.
Drag-and-drop to Calibre and the stubborn book is now readable!
If you were my grandson, I'd bake you a cake.

It was (or became) a KFX then... Good. Some of my books do not download on Win11 MSIX app, saying "use Android". And 4 out of 90 still download as MOBI. So the current version would not pick up 100% of books...
