Thanks Wes! I'm Duane Johnson, the primary author of Loro Extended. I have a vision of the future where app development takes half as much code, and is easier to reason about. When we build solutions to problems, I want our focus to be on what we need done rather than on how to get data from one peer to another. The reality is that almost every app is a distributed program, so I believe tackling the hardest problems--like distributed computation and distributed shared state--are worth the time invested. To anyone joining the community here--I hope Loro Extended helps you help others. <3 |

Hello 👋 First of all, thank you @canadaduane for building Loro-extended — it’s a very impressive CRDT system. I’ve been experimenting with it and I’m exploring whether it can be integrated into the Flutter ecosystem for a cross-platform application and I’ve also tested the JavaScript bindings to better understand how the sync and document updates work. My goal is to build a real-time, offline-first chat application using Flutter (Android, iOS, Web, Desktop), with Loro as the sync/CRDT engine. My Questions From your perspective, what would be the recommended approach for integrating Loro into a cross-platform mobile app? |
