Improve appearance of controls in designer mode #1043
Description
I think the best thing to display is an empty plot with a title that shows the ScottPlot version.
This is currently implemented in the WinForms control, but not the WPF or Avalonia controls
Careful though! A crash in designer mode produces bugs which are difficult to solve (#161, #356), so exception handling and a fallback design may be a good idea.
