Describe your changes in brief
Improve POSIX compatibility. Correctly returns errors rather than returning EIO. Now able to pass limited selection of https://github.com/pjd/pjdfstest and https://github.com/saidsay-so/pjdfstest tests with S3 storage backend and loopbackfs (alongside the other POSIX PR).
