Mganga 0.1.1: the first public release
The first public release of Mganga, a Windows resource healer.
Mganga answers two questions in plain language: why is my machine slow right
now, and what starts itself with Windows? Then it lets you act, gently:
Efficiency mode, pause, or stop for running apps; reversible switches for
autostarts. Every change is recorded and can be undone. Nothing is ever
deleted. The things that keep Windows and your security running are protected
and untouchable.
Downloads
- Mganga_0.1.0_x64-setup.exe: the installer (recommended)
- mganga-portable-windows-x64.zip: no install, unzip and run
mganga.exe
Note: the installer reports version 0.1.0 in its filename; the v0.1.0 tag
predates a CI fix and was never released. The code in this release is the
real first release. Future releases will match names to tags.
Honest warnings, in the spirit of the app
- The binaries are not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen will warn
you on first run ("Windows protected your PC"). Click "More info", then
"Run anyway". Signing is on the roadmap. - Mganga runs without administrator rights. Machine-wide changes summon a
small elevated helper (one UAC prompt), which validates every request
itself before touching anything. - Windows 10/11, x64.
What's inside
- Home: both questions answered at a glance, with a live diagnosis, a
60-second sparkline, and named startup suggestions backed by usage evidence - Running now: live process view with verdicts, suggestion filters, and the
healer's actions (Efficiency mode, pause, stop) - Starts with Windows: every autostart from the registry, startup folders,
scheduled tasks, and services, with reversible switches - History: the audit log, with undo
