Code of Conduct

the short version

Be kind. Assume good faith. Disagree with ideas, not people. Don't be a jerk.

the longer version

hooked on facets is committed to providing a welcoming and harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of:

  • Age, body size, disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression
  • Level of experience, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion
  • Sexual identity and orientation

examples of behavior that creates a positive environment

  • Using welcoming, inclusive language
  • Being respectful of differing viewpoints
  • Gracefully accepting constructive criticism
  • Focusing on what's best for the community
  • Showing empathy toward others

examples of unacceptable behavior

  • Trolling, insulting, derogatory comments, personal or political attacks
  • Public or private harassment
  • Publishing others' private information without explicit permission
  • Sexual language or imagery
  • Other conduct which could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting

enforcement

Project maintainers are responsible for clarifying acceptable behavior and are expected to take appropriate corrective action in response to any instances of unacceptable behavior.

Maintainers have the right to remove, edit, or reject comments, commits, code, issues, and other contributions that violate this Code of Conduct.

reporting

Report unacceptable behavior by opening a private security advisory (yes, you can use the security channel for conduct issues — it's the most private route we have), or contact the maintainer directly via their GitHub profile.

Reports will be reviewed and investigated promptly and fairly.
