🚀 Version 2.0 - The Total Overhaul
This major update is a complete, ground-up rewrite of the Windows Hello Camera Fix using a high-performance native C++ core. It continues to fix the "Looking for you" biometric identity crisis by strategically blinding your RGB camera right before system lock, but now it does it much faster, safer, and entirely in the background.
✨ Key Features:
-
Native C++ Speeds: Sluggish command-line scripts have been ditched. The app now uses direct Windows kernel subsystem calls for millisecond, near-instantaneous hardware toggling.
-
Pre-Lock Interception: Hooks directly into low-level power interrupts (like closing your laptop lid) to disable the RGB camera before the session lock race condition can even occur.
-
Zero-Overhead Daemon: Runs completely invisibly with 0% CPU usage, waiting patiently in the shadows without draining your battery.
-
Bulletproof Safety: Packed with hardware thrash protection, triple-pass verification, and ghost-process recovery so your camera drivers don't get hopelessly confused and crash.
-
Smart Auto-Targeting: Dynamically scans your device tree on startup to automatically locate the correct RGB sensor interface, eliminating setup guesswork.
📝 Instructions:
-
Download the setup file from the Assets below.
-
Run the installer and go through the incredibly simple setup wizard.
-
Once the app starts, just select your RGB camera from the drop-down menu (it will match the name in Device Manager), and let it do the rest!
Designed for Windows 10 and Windows 11.
