Can you please provide a small quick video or something of the sort showcasing that this works, or at least confirm that you have indeed tested this? |
@polymo1 Unfortunately I myself do not own a Chromebook, though I have helped people who own one, and confirm it is possible to sideload SideStore with a Chromebook, so I have confirmed that it does work. Here is a screenshot example of someone I was helping with using idevice pair to get the pairing file. This was before iloader supported aarch64. If there is someone with a Chromebook, I am willing to help with repeating the steps while they are recording so it is reproducible for you to understand, whether it be on screenshare in the SideStore discord or other methods. I unfortunately have not finished this guide as explained by the first message, which is why it's currently a draft, but it does have the starting points on what one should do first. |

Chromebooks can have multiple architectures and won't just be aarch64. Also sometimes usbmuxd doesn't properly attach, running it manually seems to fix it. Signed-off-by: Fire <17692105+FireMario211@users.noreply.github.com>

Forgot to mention it's no longer in draft, and I updated it. In case you want an example of another person being able to use a Chromebook to sideload SideStore, here it is on the SideStore server itself: https://discord.com/channels/949183273383395328/1279548738586673202/1498119981001609247 (scrolling down) |

This adds another tab to include a guide for setting up iloader on a Chromebook. The install page may need to be changed as having the Chromebook recognize the iDevice is not as straight forward.
It requires Manage USB devices, and quickly enabling the iDevice as soon as it's plugged in, as Chromebook seems to currently have an issue where if the iDevice is enabled too late, the dev environment will not recognize it.
Currently this PR is a draft, but it is open to changes.
