Plate Trace - Automatic License Plate Recognition

• Plate Trace is an online web application for license plate recognition which is used for producing accurate license plate number detection.
• It acts as a supporting software for a system of cameras that capture license plate information and instantly delivers us with accurate license number which is used for effective law enforcement regarding traffic violations.
• It is also used in the commercial industry for parking management, gated communities, Security monitoring and border crossings, Automated collection of tolls and toll booth records.

Implementation

• Implemented an Object detection model with upto 92% accuracy and utilized an OCR for automatic license plate recognition.
• Deployed and integrated the machine model using Flask. The application was developed using JavaScript, Bootstrap, CSS.
• The application aims to provide accuracy up to 90%, which is at least 15% more compared to preexisting systems, invaluable vehicle intelligence which enhances business capabilities, automates tasks, and increases overall community safety.

Code

This project has been entered in numerous hackathons and due to the non-disclosure agreement (NDA), we are unable to provide the source code.
