Input file contains unsupported image format

I downloaded test images from unsplash, they were .jpg, tried .jpeg and also .JPEG in case it was just container naming being issue. I checked with exiftool in case it was heic codec and images were indeed .jpg
This also happens on different machine.

Also wanted to ask if .avif is supported? I tried it with .jpgs just for this. But .avif would make it considerably smaller.
Also I have no way of knowing which image failed because even with verbose I can't see which failed.

Yes, AVIF is supported! We even have a tool to convert and adjust the quality :)

The error you are seeing is weird... I tried the attached image and it worked fine on my end. Also the script usually tells you which image cannot be processed and skips it. See the example output below from my tests with broken images.

Are other images working for you or nothing works?

The entire build step is stopped at the point which I posted. Do you have any tips for me to troubleshoot?
I'm using init -d -r and then build -v

My friend found the issue - No image in root gallery. It goes further but still fails for me later on. Didn't find why, but spg -V says I have 2.0.18 and it won't update me to 2.1.3 which should be current package. In fact I got downgraded.

Hmm... you can try installing the latest version explicitly with this:

npm install -g simple-photo-gallery@2.1.3

But, we didn't change much in the basic functionality between these versions.

Regarding the error - it should actually not fail if there is no image in the root, this is probably a bug. I'll check it out.

Can you please run spg build -v and paste the whole log? Otherwise, what you can also try is to run spg build in the individual subfolders. This should work as well and may help you see where the problem is.

OK, I see we have a bug that when you install version 2.1.3, the script thinks it is on 2.0.18, but it is actually OK. Will fix that in a moment.

OK, I can now reproduce everything and I get exactly your error. I know it happens and it is an easy fix. Expect version 2.1.4 in the next hour

Here is a verbose log of my issue after build.

Btw when I update with npm to latest it gives me 2.1.2, only when I use -g for global do I get 2.1.4 not sure if that's intended. It basically fails after making various header pictures and then it does 2 more pictures and I'm not sure what the issue is after.
Still using spg init -r -d as a command before build.
