Grimoire v1.18.0

Grimoire is a mod manager and companion tool for Deadlock. Browse and install mods from GameBanana, manage installed mods with drag-and-drop priority ordering, organize hero skins in the Locker, design crosshairs with real-time preview, edit your autoexec.cfg, save and switch between mod profiles, and detect file conflicts between mods. Available for Windows and Linux.

This release is about performance and accuracy: an experimental one-click fps config powered by Sqooky's OptimizationLock, a Crosshair tab rebuilt against the game's current settings so presets finally match in-game, a consolidated Stats page with opt-in community data contribution, and a dramatically faster Installed tab.

What's New

New Features

• Performance Config (experimental). Apply OptimizationLock, Sqooky's community fps config, with one click from Settings. Grimoire patches gameinfo.gi in place (your mods and search paths are untouched), detects when a game update wipes it and offers one-click reapply, and removal restores the file exactly as it was.
• Hand-tune the performance config. An Edit File button opens gameinfo.gi in your editor of choice; your hand edits are kept as overrides that survive reapply and game-update wipes.
• Contribute match salts (opt-in, default off). Help keep deadlock-api.com's match database fresh, which is what powers the Stats tab. Grimoire scans Steam's local HTTP cache for replay URLs and submits four match numbers per match. No username, nothing identifying, ever.
• Import your crosshair from the game. The Crosshair tab can now load your live in-game crosshair from machine_convars.vcfg straight into the editor.

Changed

• Crosshair tab rebuilt against the current game (experimental). Presets now write the full 20-convar shape set (dot size, static pip gap, and the outline border/gap/opacity controls that replaced the old border setting), so an applied preset finally looks the same in-game as in the preview. Also adds a resolution picker, typed slider values, and an accurate preview renderer. Treat the rebuild as experimental: if something renders differently in-game than in the preview, please report it.
• Stats page consolidated to four tabs (experimental). The Stats frontend was rebuilt and reorganized so related views live together instead of being spread across the page. Treat the new layout as experimental and report anything that looks off or went missing.
• Installed tab navigation is much faster. Opening Installed with a large library used to block the UI for most of a second; it now lands in a fraction of that, and the sidebar highlight follows your click immediately.
• Native Windows title bar. Windows now uses the standard OS frame (dark themed), so the window controls no longer float over app UI.
• Sidebar hero art calibrated for all 38 heroes. The hero backdrop behind the active sidebar card is now hand-positioned per hero instead of framed by luck.
• Refreshed modals, menus, and toasts. Shared UI primitives with consistent open/close animations across the app.

Bug Fixes

• Update all no longer fails when an author re-uploads files. Mods whose old file was archived or deleted errored with "file no longer on GameBanana; reinstall from Browse" on every run. Grimoire now matches the replacement among the current files (by the author's file description, then filename), and when it can't decide it asks you to pick instead of failing.
• Locker 3D pose viewer no longer shows a blank panel. The model rendered centered in the full overlay, which put it behind the frosted selection panels on most monitor widths. It now renders in the visible strip where the 2D portrait shows.
• Installed toolbar layout stabilized. The toolbar no longer wraps and jumps at narrower window widths.

• Grimoire-Setup-1.18.0.exe. Per-user NSIS installer. Adds Desktop and Start Menu shortcuts and registers the grimoire: URL handler.
• Grimoire-Portable-1.18.0.exe. Self-contained executable, no installation required.

Requirements: Deadlock installed via Steam. Existing installer/AppImage users auto-update on next launch; apt users update via apt upgrade. Users who installed the .deb manually (not through the apt repo) should re-download or switch to the apt repo.
