Smartiecoin Core v0.4.0

Mandatory network upgrade for the approved SMT economics hard fork.

Activation

  • Hard fork activation height: block 172,800
  • No chain reset and no reindex requirement from the release itself
  • Historical blocks remain under the old rules
  • All miners, pools, exchanges, masternodes, explorers, and wallets should upgrade before activation

Consensus Changes

  • Block target spacing changes from 60 seconds to 120 seconds after activation
  • Daily emission is reduced by the slower block schedule
  • Halving interval changes to 1,000,000 blocks after activation
  • Long-tail emission floor is 1 SMT total per block, including governance
  • Superblock cadence remains approximately 15 days using the new 10,800 block post-fork cycle
  • Block 172,800 preserves the existing governance cycle so already scheduled payouts are not skipped

Compatibility / Safety

  • Windows build keeps the BDB 4.8 wallet compatibility path
  • Sapling parameters are embedded in the binaries/packages
  • Regtest fork override was used to mine across activation during QA
  • Windows and Linux packages were smoke-tested with wallet create, mining, shutdown, restart, and block-count verification
