This tackles the
getConfigValueandupdateConfigValuefunctions.Made me realize the exit code story is messy because what happens when an error is ignored (due to an optional step failing, for example). We shouldn't set the exitCode. Anyways, that'll be the next PR.
This one just tries to implement the Result type to these two functions and anything that it taints.
