A private mind for your meetings.
An open-source AI meeting assistant for professionals. Records, transcribes, and summarizes your conversations — with one quiet promise: your audio never leaves your computer.
Sonabrief is in pre-development. The product, documentation, and public source code will be released according to the timelines communicated through official channels.
For early access to the launch:
- Visit sonabrief.com and join the waitlist

This repository is the public home of the Sonabrief project. At this stage, it contains:
PROJECT_SPEC.md— the public Project Specification Document, describing vision, privacy architecture, technical approach, and project directionLICENSE— AGPL v3 license terms
The source code will be added here as development progresses.
Start with PROJECT_SPEC.md to understand:
- What Sonabrief is and who it's for
- The privacy promise and how we deliver on it
- The open-source approach and the commercial model that sustains it
- Project direction and how to stay informed
Sonabrief is released under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0.
The Sonabrief name, logo, brand visual identity, and commercially curated content are protected separately and not covered by the open source license.
Contributions are welcome — bug reports, feature requests, documentation improvements, and pull requests. Please open an issue first for any significant change to discuss the approach.
Sonabrief is dual-licensed (AGPL v3 + commercial). To accept external contributions while preserving this flexibility, we ask all contributors to sign the Contributor License Agreement (CLA.md).
Signing is automatic: when you open a Pull Request, the CLA Assistant bot will ask you to confirm by commenting on the PR. Once signed, it applies to all your future contributions to the project.
