As the title said, It seems your validator is crazy about MIME verification :

I used zips from various source ( inginious , enseignement.be , etc ) : the bug comes from the front
as no call to the API were done ...

@dewita If I should act like Sherlock Holmes, I am going to check these stuffs :

• async selectedFile(event: Event)
• rule mimes of vee-validate
• html declaration of this balise
