The 250-byte buffer at line 152 contains a query of approximately 140 bytes, providing more margin but still lacking safety guarantees. This is inconsistent with other parts of the same file that correctly use asprintf for dynamic allocation.

this is valid, i like using asprintf where I can. can you remove the test c code, i really don't have a good place to put that?

Reviewer noted there is no good place for test C code in this repo.
The asprintf-based security fixes in hoeldb.c remain intact.
