Cannot set custom notification sounds

when attempting to change the default notification sounds, as soon as i navigate away from the page, or close settings it reverts to the default audio. attempted a work around by changing the audio files found in the Roaming folder to a custom .wav using the same naming convention but it overwrites these with the default sounds regardless.

latest update doesn't fix this bug
program will now retain custom sounds in the settings but when the timer runs out it still plays the default sound

Thanks for the follow-up, and sorry this is still causing issues. I can't reproduce this issue on Ubuntu 24.04

The behavior you're describing in the latest version — the display name persists, but the default sound still plays, might indicate a decode error at playback time. The app tries to decode your custom file, fails silently, and falls back to the built-in sound.

To confirm this, could you share your log file? You can open the log directory from Settings → Advanced → Open Log Directory. The file is pomotroid.log. If you see a line like [audio] decode error for "custom_work_alert.wav": ..., that'll tell us exactly what's failing.

I do see something to this effect in the log:
