I'd like to use this wrapper in a proprietary project, but cannot legally do so without a permissive license. As far as I can tell, there is no license attached to this project, which means it falls under standard copyright law.

Keramer, I am by no means pushing you into choosing a license that is more permissive than you are comfortable with. My hope is that from the start you wanted others to use and modify this code freely, but simply neglected to pick a license that explicitly allows such actions.

i don't know too much about licenses !( i'm a student )

i updated the project and added a MIT license section in readme file http://www.opensource.org/licenses/mit-license.php . ( i saw many projects use this license !) .

if MIT license do not allow others to use and modify this code freely ,
plz suggest another license and i will gladly accept .

The MIT license is greatly appreciated, keramer. Thanks so much for your work.

Expect a fork in the near future as I plan on modifying this to work with https://github.com/sqlcipher/sqlcipher .
