Option to keep Comfy workflow in image metadata

When I generate images with StableSwarmUI, workflow is missing in them, so I cannot restore it by just drag&dropping the image. I apologize if this is caused by misconfiguration on my part, but I tried googling how to enable saving workflow in StableSwarmUI within images, but couldn't find anything.

Swarm saves metadata in its own format, you can drag into the swarm generate tab to view the metadata.

Sorry, but I do not think it saves the worklfow, or maybe I have something misconfigured? I did as you suggested, and it did not restore my ComfyUI workflow. I also inspected the image metadata, and the workflow just isn't there, not in any format. Only basic generation parameters. As a result, if I drag&drop SwarmUI generated image in the generation tab, click reuse parameters, then try to import the workflow in the ComfyUI tab, I will not get my workflow back, and cannot generate identical images again if I had custom ComfyUI workflow since it was lost. Saving workflow manually while actively working is not only easy to forget, but also later would be very hard to tell to which images it corresponded; it would be so much easier to be able to just restore it from the image's metadata where it is usually automatically saved by ComfyUI.

This is why opened this issue, it is all about automatically saving in metadata and restoring ComfyUI workflow the same way ComfyUI does.

If this feature is missing in SwarmUI, please consider it as a possible enhancement to add, since lack of this feature is the biggest issue I have with SwarmUI at the moment. Other than that, it works great. I am not a programmer myself but think it may be easy to implement since ComfyUI already has this feature, so it is just a matter of not losing the Workflow field in the metainformation when saving the image.

If there is a way to enable saving ComfyUI workflow in the image metadata, please let me know how to enable it (I think it should be possible at least in the case when I am using custom ComfyUI workflow, but I did not find a way to enable it yet).

The way to reproduce this issue: setup a custom workflow, no need to even add special nodes, just change node sizes and placements, but may also add some additional nodes, such as Invert image which is not saved either. Click "Use This Workflow In Generate Tab", go to Generate tab and generate some images using SwarmSaveImageWS node as output. Then Clear the workflow in the "Comfy Workflow Editor", and click "Remove Workflow From Generate Tab". Drag&drop any generated image back to the Comfy Workflow Editor, nothing happens.

In addition to the above, I also tested the way you suggested, but as I mentioned above it did not work either. Go to Generate tab, drag&drop there, it then will load, but if you click "Reuse Parameters" and then try to "Import From Generated Tab" in the "Comfy Workflow Editor", but this does not help to restore the original workflow either unfortunately. Please let me know if I did something wrong when following your suggestion.

Ah, specifically custom comfy workflows -- those aren't stored in metadata atm but it's a valid feature request to add that.

fwiw it does work atm if you use "Save Workflow" and then select the saved workflow on the generate tab (as opposed to transitory temporary / current custom workflows).
