This thread is for the EQ tab — your own bands.
What it's for: the tuning you place by hand. Up to 128 bands per output, and every filter type Equalizer APO understands — peak, low shelf, high shelf, low pass, high pass, band pass and notch — each with frequency, gain and Q.
How it works: your bands are one layer in the chain, with a switch of their own. The driver correction, headphone correction, voicing and Smart EQ are separate layers, so clearing your bands never touches them. Every layer feeds a single computed preamp: Auto normalize reserves headroom against the real combined response, so stacking layers cannot clip you, and removing one gives the volume back.
Ask here about bands, filter types, the preamp and Auto normalize. If the sound is wrong rather than the question, that is a bug — the issue tracker is the better place, so it does not get lost.
