What it's for: singing over files you already own. Audio can be MP3, WAV, OGG, FLAC or M4A; lyrics can be .lrc for line timing, enhanced .lrc for word timing, or an UltraStar .txt for syllables and real target notes.
How it works: the words follow the audio's own clock, so a long song cannot drift away from them. Your microphone is chosen and switched on by you, analysed on your own machine, never recorded and never played back through the speakers. The pitch lane draws target notes only when the file genuinely carries them, the chord guide is estimated from the backing track and says so, and a review collects the bars you drifted on and counts you back in.
What it does not do, by design: it does not remove vocals, separate stems, or change key or tempo — the instrumental is something you bring.
Ask here about formats, the pitch lane, chords and the stage.
