0.3.0
0.3.0
This small update corrects two journal entries so they match what the villagers actually tell you. There are no new scenes, characters or endings.
Changes
Journal wording
- "What the keeper saw" now says Ada swung the lamp till her arms went, as she tells it herself, rather than till dawn. The entry no longer gives away how long the lamp lasted before you've asked her about it.
- "The other boats" now says the older ledgers are in Margaret's father's hand or his father's, in line with what Margaret tells you, rather than all in the same hand.
Version
0.2.1 → 0.3.0 — MINOR. Mechanical floor from comparing the save schemas, the save format, the save code, the kit pin and new source files: MINOR.
Judgment: The player-visible change is limited to two corrected journal texts in src/tidewater/facts.py; the other changes are comments, tests and the version file. Nothing in the diff changes fact ids, flags, the save format or the kit, so saves from 0.2.1 should load and behave as before and major is not warranted. On its merits this is patch-level wording, but the mechanical floor of minor cannot be lowered, so it stands.
- minor: save code changed: src/tidewater/facts.py

0.2.1
0.2.1
This release adds nothing new to play: the game, its controls and its endings work as they did in 0.2.0. It only adds behind-the-scenes checks for the docks, so there is no need to update unless you want to stay current.
Changes
- Testing: Added automated tests for the docks, covering the pier's menu options, the bell tower and rope, the storm and fishing.
Version
0.2.0 → 0.2.1 — PATCH. Mechanical floor from comparing the save schemas, the save format, the save code, the kit pin and new source files: PATCH.
Judgment: Session: Tally. The only changes since 0.2.0 are a new test file, tests/test_docks.py, and the version bump to a snapshot, so no game code, save format or kit pin changes. Nothing is new or different for players, and saves are unaffected. The mechanical floor of patch therefore stands.
- no save, kit-pin or new-file difference observed

0.2.0
0.2.0
This is a small update. At eight in the morning the docks now tell you that Ada from the lighthouse is walking the front, so the 'Talk to Ada' option makes sense on your first morning and on every loop after it. The bundled text-adventure kit is also updated, and the arcade now has a link back to the hall.
Changes
- Story and wording: The eight o'clock docks description now mentions Ada on the first morning and after the bell is known, the only hour she is there to talk to (#43).
- Text-adventure kit: Updated the pinned kit, which adds an Arcade link back to the hall (#46).
Version
0.1.0 → 0.2.0 — MINOR. Mechanical floor from comparing the save schemas, the save format, the save code, the kit pin and new source files: MINOR.
Judgment: The mechanical floor is minor because the pinned text-adventure kit (tak) moved to a new commit, and nothing here justifies going higher. The only gameplay change is wording: the docks at eight now mention Ada, which explains the existing 'Talk to Ada' option. The churchyard work in #43 adds tests only, and the save code, save format and controls are unchanged, so saves from 0.1.0 load as before.
- minor: tak pin in requirements.txt: 9749869783ebd20959a2365f29812675a0b0d053 → 86a6164e47e424b5340677d8fa0f689ab005417b
