VibeSDR v2.1.4
Fixes + new Data Saver.
What's new
- Data Saver — after a chosen spell muted (lock screen / AirPods out / pause), the SDR stream disconnects to stop wasting mobile data and battery. Choose the timeout under Power Saving (Off / Instant / 5 / 10 / 15 / 30 min, default 10). The media controls show a countdown, then Disconnected · Open App to Resume, and Play reconnects. The timer resets if you're actively tuning, so it won't drop you mid-session.
- Frozen-waterfall fix — returning to the app after another audio app suspended it no longer leaves a frozen spectrum; it reconnects on its own (no more backing out to the instance list).
Enabling Android Auto
VibeSDR is sideloaded, so Android Auto needs Unknown sources turned on before it will appear in the car:
- Install the
.apkbelow on the phone. - Open Android Auto settings (phone Settings → Connected devices → Android Auto).
- Tap "Version" ~10 times to unlock developer mode.
- ⋮ menu → Developer settings → Unknown sources (on).
- Open VibeSDR and connect to a server once so the browse lists load.
- Connect to the head unit — VibeSDR appears with Bookmarks and Band Plan folders.
If it doesn't appear, it's almost always step 3–4. If the lists are empty, open the app, connect to a server, then reconnect.
