Subtitle Edit 5.2.0 is out - 43 days after the 5.1.0 release, collecting the work of 32 betas and 7 release candidates.

What's new since 5.1.0

• SE 4 parity: Train nOCR, WebVTT style manager, SE 4 Settings.xml import, Layout 10, the minimum gap frame rate calculator, "Remove/replace Unicode characters", and many more SE 4 shortcuts
• Text to speech: voice cloning from the video ("Find voices in video and clone them all", per-line cloning), and new engines - IndexTTS 2.5, Higgs Audio v3, Fish Audio S2 Pro, FireRedTTS3, dots.tts, Confucius4-TTS, Pocket TTS and multilingual Chatterbox
• Speech to text: WhisperX (standalone, no Python), Google Cloud Speech-to-Text v2, Voxtral and anime-whisper, plus a transcription quality report
• OCR: Apple Vision OCR on macOS, Paddle OCR 3.7 (PP-OCRv6), DeepSeek-OCR-2, HunyuanOCR 1.5 and LFM2.5-VL, and a much better video OCR for burned-in subtitles
• Auto-translate and AI: "llama.cpp advanced" and "Ollama advanced" engines with batch context, MiLMMT-46 models, and a more capable AI review
• New tools: Assisted split and Assisted move with ranked one-click suggestions, a chapter editor (Matroska/MP4/OGM), and an error list with summary cards and export
• Edit original: edit the original reference rows in place, and show the original subtitle on the waveform
• New formats: EBU-TT, Manzanita DVB teletext (.dvbttx), Csv Excel, CANVASs SSTG1, YouTube srv3 and more, plus fragmented MP4 (DASH/CMAF) and ARIB STD-B24 captions from transport streams
• Image export: advanced text effects (gradient, neon glow, 3D extrude), and Blu-ray sup fades and overlapping subtitles
• 2 new UI languages (Central Kurdish, Azerbaijani)
