A great use for this is correcting Bluray PGS/SUP OCR'd files using existing perfected WEB-DL subs.

So I open the PGS and run OCR, and have my synced-to-bluray srt. I load up the WEB-DL using File>Compare

Clearly the work is already done, even the software knows where the changes are. If only I could press alt+enter per line in this screen to approve corrections from an existing SRT, things would be so simple.
Also even better if a single button to transfer all changes over.

Now all this is an easy implementation considering srt's of exactly the same number of lines (and line-breaks) which is a lucky moment in this case. (So what I did was open both in Aegisubs, copy all lines from WEB-DL, go to the bluray srt, and paste-over>text only.)

But in case there are changes in line positions or an added break, I don't know how the compare tool currently figures those things out but I suspect it is already powerful enough to detect that, and so would make this subtitle edit tool a much more useful tool in the long run in the case of line number mismatches.
