Highlights

This release rolls up everything since v1.10.228.

✍️ AutoCorrect while typing (new)

Automatic typographic conversion as you type in the target field, with its own Settings → ✍️ AutoCorrect tab (auto-saves — no Save button):

  • Smart quotes by target language — German „…“, French « … » (with the correct narrow non-breaking spaces), Russian/Italian «…», English “…”, plus ~15 more language profiles.
  • Straight apostrophe → curly (don'tdon’t), ..., --.
  • French targets also get the narrow non-breaking space before : ; ! ? automatically.
  • Each rule has its own toggle; Backspace immediately after a conversion reverts it (Word-style).
  • Skipped inside tags, on paste, and on dictation, so it stays out of the way.

Source editing

  • Fixed: "Allow Replace in Source Text" now works. The setting flipped the warning banner on but left source cells locked — fixed on both Windows and macOS.
  • F2 enters per-cell source-edit mode (memoQ/Trados convention): click a source cell, press F2, edit, then Esc / Tab / click away to exit. No need to go via Settings.

Editing

  • Shift+F3 toggles case of the selection (or the word under the cursor) — lowercase → Sentence case → UPPERCASE — exactly like Word.

Localisation

  • Simplified and Traditional Chinese UI translations (community-contributed) now ship in the build.

Full per-version detail is in CHANGELOG.md (v1.10.229 – v1.10.230).

Install (Windows)

Download Supervertaler-v1.10.230-Windows.zip, extract it, and run Supervertaler.exe — no installer needed. The Okapi sidecar is bundled, so document import works out of the box. Optionally double-click "Add Supervertaler to Start Menu.cmd" for a Start Menu shortcut.

Install (macOS)

Download Supervertaler-v1.10.230-macOS.dmg, open it, and drag Supervertaler to Applications. The sidecar (with its Java runtime) is bundled — nothing else to install.
