Note

This repository is a placeholder. fromHello is in private development ahead of early access. The platform source and the agents that run it will be published here when the hosted product reaches general availability. Star this repo to follow along, and join the waitlist for early access — opening Q3 2026.

What is fromHello

Growth is a machine: events go in, segments and journeys and experiments come out, optimized every day. Big companies build that machine with a growth org. Small teams run it by hand — the roadmap lives in a tab you keep meaning to open, the onboarding email is the one you wrote in week one, the retention flow is a calendar reminder.

fromHello is that machine, open source. A complete platform that tracks customers, builds segments, messages across every channel, and runs experiments — operated end-to-end by eight AI specialists. They ship real segments, journeys, templates, and tests inside the platform. They don't write reports for you to act on. They act. You approve, edit, or let them ship.

Built for the team that doesn't have a growth org yet. The defaults assume you.

How it works

Your product sends events into the fromHello platform — channels, journey engine, segments, customer data, tracking SDK, compliance — which messages your customers. Eight AI specialists operate the platform, and the whole loop is analyzed and optimized continuously.
Your product → the platform → your customers. Eight specialists operate it; the loop optimizes continuously.

Inside the machine

The platform is the product — the same one you'd hand a senior growth engineer.

The fromHello platform across six areas: every channel (email, SMS, in-app, web push, ads); an 11-node journey engine with branching, A/B splits and webhooks; real-time segments recomputed on every event; customer data with profiles, accounts and funnels for B2B and B2C; a first-party JS/TS tracking SDK with offline queue and XSS-safe rendering; and built-in GDPR compliance with consent, suppression and audit.

And the journey engine your Lifecycle and CRO specialists build in — entry to goal, branches, waits, and splits in between:

An example journey: Entry, then Send email, then Wait 2 days, then Send SMS, then Goal. The visual builder has 11 node types — entry, send, wait, wait-for-event, branch, A/B split, webhook, and goal.
The full capability list
  • Every channel — email, SMS, in-app (banner / modal / slideout / tooltip), web push, ad audiences (Meta, LinkedIn, Google)
  • Journey engine — 11-node visual builder: branching, A/B splits, wait-for-event, webhooks, goals
  • Real-time segments — dynamic rules recomputed on every event, plus static lists
  • Customer data — profiles, accounts, funnels, lifecycle stages, custom fields. B2B and B2C, no compromise.
  • First-party tracking — lightweight JS/TS SDK with offline queue and XSS-safe in-app rendering
  • Compliance built in — GDPR consent tracking with immutable history, suppression, audit logs, multi-tenancy

Who runs it

Eight AI specialists operate the machine, each with a real growth job:

The eight specialists. Growth Lead: sets strategy, picks the North Star metric. Growth PM: turns strategy into an experimentation roadmap. Growth Engineer: wires up tracking, fixes funnel leaks. Performance Marketer: runs paid on Meta, LinkedIn and Google, optimizes audiences. Lifecycle Marketer: onboarding, retention, win-back flows. CRO Specialist: A/B tests pages and journeys, ships winners. Data Analyst: cohorts, churn forecasts, weekly insight. Copywriter / Designer: every email, SMS and in-app message in your brand voice.
What each specialist actually ships
  • Growth Lead — pick the activation metric for the quarter · prioritize the next three experiments · write the growth thesis
  • Growth PM — spec the next A/B test · prioritize the experiment backlog · write the test brief
  • Growth Engineer — map the signup funnel · add the missing subscription_started event · audit the tracking plan
  • Performance Marketer — sync the high-LTV segment to Meta · pause the audience with bad ROAS · brief the next ad creative
  • Lifecycle Marketer — ship the 5-email onboarding sequence · build the win-back journey for churned users · A/B test the re-activation SMS
  • CRO Specialist — split-test the pricing-page CTA · test two onboarding variants · cut the experiment that lost
  • Data Analyst — build the weekly cohort report · forecast next month's churn · surface the fastest-growing segment
  • Copywriter / Designer — draft the launch announcement · rewrite the onboarding emails for your tone · ship the in-app upgrade prompt

They coordinate through an Orchestrator, share a Truth Pack — your ICP, brand voice, goals — and log every decision so you can audit, redirect, or rewind. Human-in-the-loop by default: agents propose, you approve.

Run it yourself

fromHello is built to be self-hostable. Read the code, run it on your infra, keep your customer data in your own VPC.

Tip

Run it on a $5/mo VPS or your existing Kubernetes cluster. Your customer data never has to leave your network.

  • Stack — pnpm + Turborepo, Postgres, Redis
  • LicenseAGPL-3.0: fork it, modify it, ship it
  • Your data — never has to leave your network

PostgreSQL Redis Turborepo pnpm Resend Twilio

The platform publishes here at general availability; the agents that run it follow after the hosted product ships.

FAQ

Is this a chatbot?
No. The agents take actions — they create segments, journeys, templates, and experiments inside the platform. Chat is the interface; shipped work is the output.
Will the agents send messages without my approval?
Only if you opt in. Every send is human-approved by default. You can auto-approve specific surfaces — onboarding sequences, say — once you trust the team.
Do I still need Customer.io, Braze, or HubSpot?
No. fromHello replaces the messaging platform and the team that runs it.
Can I use the platform without the agents?
Yes. The platform works on its own — build journeys and ship campaigns by hand, and turn the agents on when you're ready.
Can I self-host?
Self-hosting lands when the source publishes here at general availability. The hosted early-access product comes first.
What does early access include?
A hosted instance, all eight agents, every channel, and priority support during the early-access window. Pricing is announced at GA.
