Setup behind docker nginx proxy manager?

I am not privy with nginx configurations.
My NAS is running openmediavault version 8, which includes nginx and for my own convenience until now I have managed creating proxy hosts for a small number of docker containers using the nginx proxy manager docker.

I am having trouble understanding the installation guidelines: Reverse Proxy configuration and don't understand what I am supposed to do:

• within compose
• within sync-in-docker/config/nginx
• and/or within nginx proxy manager (NPM)

E.g. In NPM have already created a reverse proxy for sync-in.MYDOMAIN.TLD, SSL terminated, and this works.
Is that the right way and how do i match/connect this with the Sync-n configuration to make things work?

It's confusing to me and I would appreciate some nudges.

At the beginning of https://sync-in.com/docs/setup-guide/proxy I find the ! INFO box quite confusing

With the recommended Docker installation, the server is already configured with the Nginx reverse proxy.
Therefore, this documentation does not apply to that use case.

I did follow the recommended Docker installation. This did not yet cover anything with nginx or reverse proxy. And yet the Info box tells me that the following does not apply?

The Reverse Proxy Configuration guide says:

The directives server_name, ssl_certificate, ..., must be adapted to your environment"

• What is meant by "adapting to my environment"?

Further, if I would enable in Compose:

include:
 - ./config/nginx/docker-compose.nginx.yaml

then another (3rd?) nginx will be installed.

• Will that not interfere with the Nginx Proxy Manager (NPM) I've already got running and proxying?
• How many proxy managers can one have watching ports 80/443?

Yep, enabling

Include:
 - ./config/nginx/docker-compose.nginx.yaml

in the compose file did result in a conflict: port already taken

I am still interested in an installation method where nginx (preferabbly Nginx Proxy Manager) and Collabora office online (COOL) are NOT INCLUDED in the Sync-in installation flow.
Should be doable, not?
Can anyone shine a light on this?
I'm sure it'll be enlightening to a lot of us.
