Describe the bug

Hi,

while I am using docker-compose to deploy, after quota setup for user, I found that it seems not detect the current quota limit and used space before upload, as a result, user can upload over the quota limit files until the system has update the stroage space limit.

Behind, the quota usage in Storage space not update imediately , I observe that the quota limit can only take effect after storage space has update the usage.

 for space function , there also has a quota setting , but seems it can viloate the default quota sizing, eg. user quota set to 5 GB but space quota can setup to 10 GB , is that the design ?

Hi @laweschan,

Yes, user quotas and storage quotas are independent of each other in this regard.

Currently, we update the quota periodically. If the uploaded file exceeds the previously calculated remaining total size, the upload will not be allowed. Therefore, there may be a temporary discrepancy between the quota actually used and the one checked at the time of upload.

We plan to monitor file events in order to update the quota more dynamically.

Thanks @johaven , but the space quota should also control by administrators role , otherwise user can easy overdraw the disk space since the quota can assigned by user personally.

also, I just found even the owner who created the space, he can't delete the space until I assign administrators roles to him, it seems another bug here.

@laweschan, space management in the admin section is coming soon.

For now only managers with admin privileges (in the Spaces section) can delete spaces immediately; this is the intended behavior and is described in the documentation.
