[Question] For the barcode scan challenge , is the barcode scanner not being available intentional?

Hi, I downloaded your app.
It looks really good.
I have some design question.

In the Bar Code Scanner , I was prompted to enter Bar Code value that I created.
Doesn't his go against the purpose of having bar code in which you must scan to dismiss the alarm?

I was just curios if this feature was intentional or a bug?
