Portuguese is already in the app, so you don't need to download anything. Sorry the screen sent you the wrong way. Language packs are not where languages come from. They cover a few scripts that need extra input data, mainly Chinese shape-based input, and almost nobody needs one. What you want is Languages & Layouts, then the button at the bottom of that screen. In v1.9.56 it says "Add subtype", which is jargon and is the reason you couldn't find it. Pick Portuguese there and you're done. You found a real problem, not a gap in your knowledge. In v1.9.64 that button says "Add keyboard language", the language pack entry says what it is actually for, and its empty screen points at the button instead of at the import file picker. |

What are you trying to do?
I want do install new languages (such as Portuguese), but I can't find this option in the app. (Sorry, I'm very new to this)
What have you tried?
I went into Languages and Layouts > Manage installed languages packs, but couldn't find my language. I saw the 'import' button, but I have no clue how to download language packs.
Version and platform
v1.9.56 (2105) on Android 14 (Moto neo 30 edge)
