- Send Button Click Tracking: Only counts messages sent via the send button, ensuring accuracy in tracking.
- Three-Hour Rolling Window: Tracks messages within a continuously updating three-hour window, providing up-to-date message counts.
- Persistent Memory: Uses persistent storage to keep count consistent even across browser restarts.
- Download the extension file from the provided repository or extension store.
- In Safari, go to
Safari > Preferences > Extensions. - Drag and drop the downloaded file into the Extensions panel.
- Enable the ChatGPT Message Counter by checking its box in the Extensions list.
After installation, the extension automatically begins tracking messages sent via the send button. To view your message count:
- Click on the extension icon in the Safari toolbar.
- A popup will display the current count of messages sent in the last three hours along with the time until the next update.
