App unresponsive when typing a new query

What happened?

When I type the first letter of a query, the app becomes unresponsive. Type ahead does not work.

Steps to reproduce

1. Launch app
2. Open sample database
3. Open new query tab
4. Type "s" (as in select)

Expected behavior

1. I should be able to see the letters I press appear in the query editor.
2. The modal window should be responsive and its values should filter as I type.
