Scrolling broken

What happened?

The app does no act upon the usual scrolling gestures on a MacBook * trackpad.

Using TablePro 0.53.0, latest macOS Tahoe on a 2024 MacBook Air.

Steps to reproduce

1. Load a table that is larger or wider than the screen
2. When trying the two-finger scroll gesture on the trackpad, nothing happens.

Expected behavior

View scrolling left, right, up or down.

We found and fixed one cause of dead scrolling: an ER diagram tab left open in the background could swallow every scroll event in the app. It triggers after switching tabs while the pointer rests over the diagram canvas, and scrolling stays dead everywhere until you return to that tab and move the mouse.

Can you check two things?

1. Did you have an ER Diagram tab open anywhere, even in a background tab, when scrolling stopped?
2. If it happens again, switch to the ER diagram tab, move the mouse over it, then switch back. Does scrolling come back?

If you never opened an ER diagram, please also check whether scrolling still works in other apps at that moment, and whether you run a scroll utility like Mos, Mac Mouse Fix, BetterMouse, or Logitech G Hub. The fix ships in the next release either way.

Thanks for the super fast reply.

1. Yes, I did have an ER diagram open at that time.
2. Correct, scrolling came back with these steps. Also, I did notice that "something" made scrolling come back when changing between tabs yesterday after filing the bug report.

Will have a look at the next release with that fix once that's available.

Thanks for confirming. That matches the bug exactly: an ER diagram tab in the background kept intercepting scroll events app-wide after a tab switch, and moving the mouse over the diagram again reset it, which is the recovery you saw. The fix removes the interception entirely, so the diagram only handles scrolling while the pointer is over it. It will be in the next release.
