app keep using the old key

even after delete the env. files, it still using the original API key.Can somebody know how to fix this issue?

The key is most likely coming from your shell, not from a .env file. TradingAgents calls load_dotenv(find_dotenv(usecwd=True)) without override=True, so if OPENAI_API_KEY is already set in the environment, the .env value is ignored, and the CLI's ensure_api_key also just reuses whatever is already set.

Check with echo $OPENAI_API_KEY (or echo %OPENAI_API_KEY% on Windows). If the old key shows up, remove it from wherever it's exported (~/.zshrc, ~/.bashrc, system env vars), open a new terminal and run it again. Also note find_dotenv searches parent directories, so an old .env higher up can still be picked up.

old key didn't show up, I have used chatgpt develop a multiple shares analysis platform ,that one works pretty well with new keys I wrote down in the tool coded by chatgpt, would you recommend it is the cause of the codes of chatgpt? I will upload that tool codes to github soon, I am trying to develop it to a platform will be able to analyse a lot of shares at the meantime and get the results and seperate different results to different folders. will share link once I make it close to my thought.
