Steps to reproduce the bug

1. Go to menu
2. Click to settings
3. Go to import/export
4. Click import but no file manager have

No apps file manager to import

If your TV has no file manager installed, you can try https://f-droid.org/packages/me.zhanghai.android.files and see if it works?

But one thing, Can you double check first that this TV has android version 9?

I mean if it is lower than Android 10 and "Settings > Download > Use system folder picker (SAF)" toggle is set to ON ! You might have hit #7802.

Above download settings screenshot is taken from Android 13 device where SAF can't be disabled, so toggle is grayed out.

Try disabling SAF by toggling off that button and retry after giving storage permission to the folder containing your previously exported data zip file or even try placing it in some other folder and retry if that doesn't work for some reason.

I could import Subscriptions from NewPipe JSON format like this on GrapheneOS (Pixel 9):

1. Compress the NewPipe JSON into a ZIP file. (I could do this on the phone with the Compress function of the built-in Android file manager.)
2. Subscriptions -> Import from -> Previous Export
3. Select the ZIP file created in the first point.

I don't install any unnecessary apps if I can afford, so at least this workaround worked for me. (I can't select a JSON file because it is greyed out.)
