Project Background:
Indonesia is an agricultural country, and the agriculture sector in Indonesia are very concerning. There’s a lot of farmers that experience difficulties in producing optimal crops because lack of material to get like fertilizer, seeds, etc., do not know what disease of the crops eventually will ruined the time for harvest, and profit-sharing gap between farmers and distributors are very disadvantage for the farmers. Seeing this problem make us want to help all the farmers in Indonesia to maximize their productivity and improve their livelihoods.
Machine Learning:
The Machine Learning part play a role in detecting plant diseases and recommending suitable plants to users based on their location using a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) model. We utilize libraries such as Tensorflow, Numpy, Pandas, and Skimage. Google Cloud AI Platform will be used for the deployment.
