I didn't want to post this as a security vulnerability although it could pertain to one.
Passwords do show in clear text, so that probably needs addressing.

It would be nice to be able to toggle command history on/off as well, I don't see that as an option in settings (general or per session/host)

Hey @mrdodz
the toggle should be in the user profile -> appearance -> Terminal
So you can disable that History via the Autocompletion Feature.

But you are right that the password in plaintext would be another issue that would need to be addressed, which could be difficult due to the need to have the terminal context / parameter context that is currently being entered as the password.

What you suggest regards tab suggestion. There is no setting to enable/disable history.
History on/off can be also a setting into the host tab.

I know, but with the Toggle set to off (default value) at least on my End there is no History in Termix anymore.

Yes, i see now.. I kinda keep getting lost in this app to be honest..

• there's a gear icon top right, that's for the dashboard
• there's another gear icon in quick actions, that's for admin settings
• to edit my host, i need to add host and jump one step back to the host viewer/manager (or open the always minimized left pane, that's ok)
• double shift does not include host manager, maybe it could include a lot more of the goodies
• Then there's the tools icon, is that a global thing/session thing, it's not clear (to me at least)
• terminal splitting is kinda confusing.. maybe if i'm connected to a host and i need a split pane some keyboard shortcut could help. Double shift could do this ideally and include something like "split pane with same host", "split pane with different host")
• I'm ok with the donate/github/etc but i think they take too much space

I would like to revisit this. Termix still saves command history for a host in Tools > History (from the top bar), even if Command Autocomplete is disabled in User Profile > Appearance. This then records all commands (including any password / sudo su password) sent to the host.

This is horrible for security. There either needs to be some masking, or a possibility to turn this off.

I can't agree more on this line. Hope this gets fixed sooner than later...
