v1.2.0 — GitHub-native distribution

Butler is now distributed entirely through GitHub — no npm package required.

Install

Download butler-mcp-linux-x64.mcpb below and double-click it (or drag into Claude Desktop's Settings → Extensions) for one-click install.

Currently Linux x64 only — better-sqlite3's native binary is platform-specific. macOS/Windows users should build from source (see README).

Changes

• Replaced npm-based install (npx butler-mcp install) with an MCPB bundle (.mcpb) attached to this release
• server.json now uses the mcpb package type, pointing at this release asset with a fileSha256 integrity hash
• Added manifest.json (MCPB bundle manifest) for building the bundle via npx @anthropic-ai/mcpb pack
• Removed mcpName from package.json (no longer relevant without npm publishing)
• Verify integrity: sha256sum butler-mcp-linux-x64.mcpb should output 7ce41638f92dbcb49bda2dcd1ffd3d49602b12c9f83255c6117b30e0b7278212
