I haven’t tested the app much since my main goal was to confirm whether the fix for the ROG Phone 9 works or not, but in the process I’ve noticed a couple of things that I’m not sure you’ll find relevant.

• Indeed, the app no longer crashes on my phone when I use Game Genie (the built-in game manager) 👍.
• The dark theme makes some things hard to see, especially with the phone brightness set to minimum:

  • The tick marks on the cores are barely visible, giving the impression that they’re disabled (a purple color instead of black might fit better).
    

  • In the Graphic Engine menu, inside the container, the enabled switches are barely visible.
    

And one last observation: I get the feeling that the initial installation is quite slower than in Winlator Ludashi, for example. On the other hand, Winlator 11 has significantly increased the speed of the initial installation, although it obviously has fewer things to install than Bionic.

Appreciate the feedback! The cores and graphics engine text/outlines are already fixed for the next beta release! I'm not sure if you are the original user that pointed it out but if not you are the second.

Initial installation is generally a longer process on all bionic builds due to the increased size of the app and rootfs being installed in addition to small tweaks that each developer adds as exclusive features or settings. The initial install splash screen is actually more fluid with the loading bar not jumping from percentage to percentage and actually gives you a smooth 0 to 100 install process visual. They always hang up at the end while doing final touches and allocating space to the app and app files. Being almost 600 MB that is expected

The latest winlator 11 is a much faster process because there is no bionic being installed and is literally just one compatibility layer whereas bionic generally includes at least two almost builds (proton 9 arm / x86-64)

In my case, it also stayed at 100% for a while before giving the option to continue, although not as long as I think it does with Ludashi.

That’s exactly what I meant when I said it has fewer things to install, but compared to Winlator 10.1/11 (beta), the process is tremendously faster, which makes me think there’s a bottleneck in versions prior to the latest one (and forks come from those). Still, it’s not something I consider important, I just thought I’d share it.

I just hope that on Star’s server, the developers get better feedback than what’s here hahaha 🏜️
