Project description

Elderly people often have to take several kind of medications during the day. Thus it is very easy for the latter to mistake a certain drug for another or just to take the wrong dose or at the wrong time. Therefore in order to assist old people in taking their meds properly, we decided to make an application that offers a viable solution.

Goals

• Text recognition system for prescriptions (This is not a good idea, see why here Main ideas #1 (comment))
• Senior Design (refer to Style Guide #14)
• Use of notifications or alarms to remind patients to take their meds or to attend a medical appointment
  • Maybe add a streak counter for each time meds were taken
• Use of GPS to locate nearby drugstores (maybe try to implement that later)
